What can you expect from the Business Intelligence Trainee Program?
Our Business Intelligence Trainee & Data Warehousing Program is designed to provide you with comprehensive training and practical experience in the field of data engineering and analytics. Join for 6 months, 10 hours/week, starting 01.03. or 01.09. in Hanover. Get hands-on experience with a fixed salary of 538 euros.
You can apply anytime for the next starting date. During the 6-month program, you will go through different sections that will be implemented both in theory and on practical projects.
You will receive intensive onboarding and first training, such as the architecture and processes of enterprise data warehouse (EDW), Data Vault 2.0, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Foundational Training, and ETL/ELT tools like dbt. You will also earn valuable certifications for the training.
After the first training phase, dive into team projects covering Data Lake, Data Vault 2.0, and Reporting & Dashboarding.
You’ll work closely with other business intelligence trainees, collaborating and presenting your project outcomes to the team. Complete the Business Intelligence Trainee and receive a certificate from our internal Scalefree Academy. You will also have the opportunity for further employment at Scalefree as a working student, intern, or consultant.

IS THE Business Intelligence Trainee PROGRAM PAID?
Yes, you will receive a monthly fixed salary of 538 EUR gross (mini-job basis).
CAN I ALSO JOIN AN ONGOING PROGRAM?
No, unfortunately this is not possible. But you can apply annually for the next possible start date of the Business Intelligence Trainee Program.
DO I HAVE TO COME TO THE OFFICE IN HANOVER, OR CAN I PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM COMPLETELY REMOTELY?
Unfortunately, it is required that you come to the office at least once every 2 weeks, so you should live at a distance where this is possible for you.
DO I HAVE TO BE A REGISTERED STUDENT?
The program is designed to accompany you in your studies, but it is a mini-job, so ongoing studies is not a legal requirement.
WHAT PRIOR KNOWLEDGE SHOULD I HAVE FOR THE SCALEFREE ACADEMY PROGRAM?
You should have basic knowledge in databases and SQL as well as first experiences with an object-oriented programming language like Python, Java, or JavaScript. Fluency in both German and English is also required to succeed in the Business Intelligence Trainee Program.
